Sporting Life is revitalizing its brand to reaffirm its status as the premier destination for both high-performance and fashionable sports apparel and gear. The new campaign, “Where Sports Meets Style,” created by Juliet, emphasizes the synergy between feeling good and looking stylish. This approach is a nod to the brand’s roots and success since its 1979 inception, positioning it alongside competitors like Sport Chek, Foot Locker, and the newer Canadian entrant, Decathlon. “Sporting Life has always balanced sport and style – it’s not just about one,” states Kaiti Snell, Juliet’s head of strategy.
The campaign’s centerpiece, a 30-second upbeat spot, highlights Sporting Life’s key sports categories such as skiing, snowboarding, running, racquet sports, hiking, yoga, and in-studio exercises. To capture the essence of these categories, the agency engaged with participants and everyday athletes to deeply understand their preferences and needs.
